Formula Sun Grand Prix
17-21 May, 2004, Heartland Park, Topeka
Page 3: fun, games and portraits. Page
1, Page 2.
Being so close to Heartland Park makes our team lazy. Here's a
shot of the KSU "camp" or cold pit. Yes, all those cars belong to
KSU team members!

Minnesota's flag pole. They flew the Jolly Roger because they
"like pirates." So does Ian!

KSU and MN in the "pit crew" competition. KSU's standard "bench-press"
carjack is Allen Halling and Matt Allison. John Aagaard is at
furthest
left, then Jeremy Wood, who as just-got-out driver is supposed to get
some of the tools. Matthew Dickson is already in the car as new
driver. Matt Honas and Lindsay Macadam were changing the
tire. James
and Paul are lounging on the barrier with Jillian Bahnson's dad, I
think. MN made things interesting and fun with two of their
members
grabbing folding chairs and sodas from the pile of tools and
"directing" the pit operation. They lost anyway, but had a
brand-new
roll-bar pit trophy to give us. Now confess, MN: did you lose the
old
trophy accidentally or on purpose?

Portraits of team members: Francis in hat with Andrea, Lindsay in
front, Brad on right.

Business team members and Apollo drivers: Erica Hopwood, Lindsay
Macadam and Jillian Bahnson.

KSU team after the race: end-of-race team portrait. Apollo had
already been sent home, to make packing up quicker later.
Team members standing are L-R John Aagaard, Matt Honas, Lindsay Macadam
(hat), Junius Penny and Brad Larson.
Seated L-R are Paul, Allen Halling, James Hoover, Erica Hopwood, Matt
Allison, Bart Carroll, Melissa Perez, Jillian Bahnson, Ian and Ruth
Douglas Miller. Jeremy Wood is still in the car, after driving most of
the afternoon.

All the teams left on Friday, 2 poses: front L-R McMaster, Minnesota,
UM Rolla,
UM Columbia, KSU. Back L-R W Ontario, Kentucky.
