The London Eye, twice as large as the largest Ferris Wheel ever, at the County Hall, London.  The eye is essentially a circular suspension bridge; the "spokes" are cables in tension, rather than stiff metal in compression.

Buckingham Palace (at centre, surrounded by trees) from the London Eye.

London Eye from the ground at the back.  You can clearly see the 6 massive cables that hold the wheel in place. A view down to the next capsule, while riding the Eye.  Each capsule holds 25 people (mostly standing) and the wheel turns continually.  A ride takes about 1/2 hour.
