PROJECT PARTS LIST (Local utility and/or local business contribution)

Listed below are some additional items that will need to be purchased in order to completely install a SkyStream 3.7 turbine. All the wire and conduit prices will vary depending on how far it is from your turbine to the school connection. These items will hopefully be donated by local businesses or utilities. Note: You will not need ALL of the items listed below. Items will be dependent upon the choice of a 240V or 120V connection.

Below is a table listing approximate wire prices. The prices will vary depending on how far it is from the turbine to the school. The price also changes when using 240V versus 120V. The price does reflect the use of a contractor and a 30% markup.

The cost of the SkyStream 3.7 is described below. Included is the retail price of the turbine as well as the cost NREL has been given from the SkyStream manufacturers.

TOWER AND FOUNDATION COSTS (School and/or community support contribution)

There are a couple of options regarding the style of tower for use with the SkyStream 3.7 turbine. Below is the estimated cost of each type of tower and foundation. All the prices for materials are subject to change due to the market. This is just an estimate for your use.

There may be some additional costs to install the turbine initially. This includes rental of trenching and digging equipment and also the use of a licensed electrician. As with other prices this is just an estimate.
