Beta version of Spiral Modeling Program

(Version 1.15)

Copyright 2000 by Kansas State University

Development of this software was funded in part by the National Science Foundation under grant ECS-9875770 and support from NASA JPL.

This is a C++ program used for modeling of spiral inductors and transformers. The program generates a spice sub-circuit which can be used for calculating the different design parameters like inductance (L), quality factor (Q) and self resonant frequency (SRF).

Executables for Windows, Linux and SUN Solaris have been made available for download and use.

NOTE:  Spiral works well in AC analysis.  However, it may have convergence problems during a transient analysis of transformer type 1 or 3.  This is a known problem and is being addressed.

NOTE:  Our Solaris machines are down for maintenance.  For the newest Solaris version, please download and compile the source code.
