Where do I purchase lab kits for my EECE classes?

Lab kits are available for sale in the IEEE office: RA 2098

Directions: After entering Rathbone/Durland hall from the north doors, go past RA 1073 (Paslay Lecture Hall) and take the spiral staircase up the the EECE department. Turn left and take the first hallway on the right. Go down the hall and turn left at the end. Continue down the hall until you reach RA 2098, it should be about half-way down the hall on your right. The room has a trophy case and immediately precedes the EECE IT department.

Are lab kits required for my class?

Your teacher will inform you on the first day of class if you will need to purchase a lab kit for your particular course. You can also look online at your course syllabus for additional information.

The following classes generally require lab kits: EECE 210, 241, 431, 502, 643, 764.  This list only serves as a guideline.  If you class has a lab section, chances are you need a lab kit.  Your instructor has the final word on lab kit requirements.

You should purchase your lab kit as soon as you can.

How much do lab kits cost?

The cost varies per class. Your instructor should give you a ball-park estimate. The prices will also fluctuate from year-to-year. Here is a list of the prices in Fall 2007:

• EECE 210 - $35
• EECE 241 - $15
• EECE 431 - $95
• EECE 502 - $43
• EECE 643 - $43
• EECE 764 - $55

These prices will not always hold true. Be sure to check the IEEE website as at the beginning of the semester to see an updated price list.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and checks only.  Sorry, we cannot accept Debit/Credit cards.

When can I buy my lab kit?

Generally you can purchase your kit in RA 2098 at any time from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the first two-three weeks of the semester.
