The International Space Station, 1:100 scale model.
Construction materials are balsa wood, yellow pine and thin sheet steel.  Our friend Lowell turned the cylindrical parts in pine on his lathe.
Top left: truss, solar panels and one heat radiator (black). 
Above: completed station as of 18 July 2002; more modules remain to be added, but the central structure is complete.  Solar panels are grey, truss and supporting rod black, living and working pods white.  For pictures of the real thing, go to NASA's ISS web site.
